About Us
Built in 1967 Brays is a day special school with 90 places for pupils with physical, learning and additional difficulties. All pupils currently on role have a statement of special educational need. The school place offer and build was extended to meet demand in 2005.
All Brays pupils have physical and complex medical difficulties, requiring augmented and modified curriculum opportunities including an overarching mobility curriculum and a sensory experiential curriculum for our more profound learners. Brays School underpins all of its curriculum delivery through continually developing its communication work so that pupils may access their learning in a way personalised to their needs. The school provision supports children that often have a combination of the following needs – physical difficulties, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, specific communication and language disorders, visual impairment and hearing impairment.
